Growing up with Emily

Last night my Aunt’s Ariella and Lydia stayed the night. This morning, when daddy came home, i decided to wake everyone up with my giggles. I took my lightsaber and kept hitting daddy with it. He kept getting hurt and it was so funny I couldn’t help but laugh.

Today mommy and daddy went to a wedding so I stayed with Grandma Mitchell. We had lots of fun together, as always. Today was a Daddy day though, I wanted only him if he was around. Sometimes it’s a Mommy day, and sometimes its also a Grandma or Grandpa day. Not today. I miss Daddy when he is sleeping and at night when he works. I love to play with him! He holds onto my legs really tight sometimes, and I’ll fall backwards and he’ll swing me around, it is so much fun! I know he will never drop me because he really loves me and always holds me tight.

Tonight I am having a sleepover at Grandma’s house! They decided to take me for the night so Daddy can get lots of sleep as soon as he gets home from work in the morning since he didn’t get any sleep today and he won’t get much more tomorrow and he has to work. I love my Grandparents so much! They spoil me rotten with lots of love.

Sorry about not posting for so long, my week has been busy spending time with Aunt Becky.  She came to visit me all the way from Provo!  I have been practically living at Grandma Mitchell’s house, I even spent the night there Saturday night and went to church with them on Sunday.  I have another tooth!  This one is on the top, it looks a little weird at the moment because its above my gums, not sure if that is normal or not.  I’m also walking here and there, just a few steps at a time.  I also got to see my new cousin Damian!! He is adorable!  I can’t wait till he grows up a little bit so I can play with him!  He definitely looks like his parents.

I am getting into alot now, mommy caught me completely stuck in my toy chest.  She has no clue how I got in there but thought it was hilarious so she snapped a couple photos.

Also, I love to play computer games (as well as blog obviously) So mommy took a picture of me on the computer at Grandma Mitchell’s house.

Guess what!?!?! I’m officially a walker! Mother’s day was a bit of a spoof, just a suprise for mommy. Now, I’m officially walking. It started with Monday. On Monday, Aunt Becky came to visit! I was so happy to see her! She is so much fun. Mommy said that when Becky comes, I can start walking. So when Grandpa was playing with me, I decided to take a couple steps. Grandma wasn’t around though, so we didn’t say anything. Then yesterday, after my bath. I walked back and forth between Grandma and Grandpa several times till I was too tired to do it anymore. I even got it on video! Also there are pictures of me taking a bath, of my kitty Boba, and a video of me with Boba and a video of me giving kisses. Enjoy!

I am so happy I have a new kitty! He never runs away from me and we play alot. He likes to chase me around and bite my toes while I’m crawling, but it doesn’t hurt. Padme and Boba Fett didn’t get along at first, but they do a little bit now. They still don’t cuddle but they chase each other around and play tag. Here are some pictures of my kitty!!

I have been grumpy alot lately… mommy and daddy aren’t sure whats wrong with me. Maybe teething again, that would explain my lack of appetite. Yesterday I threw a horrible tantrum while mommy was trying to change my diaper. I wanted to roll over and play and she still had to put the clean diaper on me and I fought her hard. I screamed and cried and finally she just gave up and let me run around without a diaper on for a few minutes. I peed all over the floor and all over myself, and mommy thought it was cute but I think she was kinda mad at me too. I still fought her when she tried to put it on again but she wouldn’t have any of it and held me down and stuck it on real fast before I could run away. Maybe next time I will win.

Camping was so much fun this weekend! First I’ll tell you about church though. At church on Sunday, all of mommy’s and daddy’s students were really reverent, which was a miracle because they always behave very badly. Then mommy and daddy taught sharing time, so I got to sit it Taryn and Sabrina and Makenna’s laps (they are in mommy and daddy’s valiant 9 class). They play with me and I LOVE the attention. Once church was over I took a good long nap while we drove out to Grandma and Grandpa Stewart’s property to go camping. As soon as we got there I got really excited that I kept smiling and laughing and clapping my hands. I even helped mommy and daddy put up the tent! I also got my own little lawn chair that is just my size! Once the tent was set up and we were all settled in we went up the driveway and met Grandma and Grandpa and also Aunt Areilla and Lydia and Michael and Jaspenelle. Aunt Jaspenelle has a big belly and I can tell I’m gonna have a cousin soon! After meeting them we went back down to the campsite and daddy built a campfire. I was mesmerized! It was so cool to look at! I grinned so big everytime someone put more wood on and it got bigger! I cried everytime the fire started to die down also. Daddy cooked me a turkey dog on the fire and I ate the whole thing! I also got some s’mores and marshmallows. Yum Yum!! I got so tired watching the fire that finally i just fell asleep right in daddy’s lap and the next thing i remember is waking up in the middle of the night wrapped up so much in blankets and sweaters and a sleeping bag i could hardly move and i was still cold. Mommy and Daddy took me up to the house and I went back to sleep cuddled up with them on the floor. After that we played at Grandma and Grandpa Stewart’s house. I was so overwhelmed with everything going on though that I was extremely grouchy. More grouchy than I have EVER been even when I’m sick. After a while mommy and daddy finally took me home. We were going to get my kitten from the store but they closed 30 minutes before we got there. That was ok though, I got to hold and play with a 4 week old kitty that belongs to my Aunt Lydia. My Aunts kept taking the kitten away from his mommy so that he didnt get to eat often enough that he was really malnourished and was dying. Very sad because he is so cute! I even got some pictures of him. Also the other morning I cuddled and played with Padme so I’ll put some of those pictures up and also the video of me camping. Mommy found ANOTHER feature on her phone and realized it can take video up to an hour not just 30 secs, so we can get longer videos now of me being my cutest!

Today mommy went to the orthodontist for a retainer check-up, then we picked up Tabitha and brought her home with us. On the way home we went and picked out my kitten!! He is black and white, and I named him Boba Fett, but I just call him Boba (it sounds a little more like baba right now from me) We will take some pictures of him later as I play with him more. We picked up Tabitha so she could cut Mommy’s hair. It is REALLY short. She calls it an inverted bob. It looks really cute. Anyways, here are the pictures and the video I promised!

Last night mommy baked a really yummy chocolate cake, and I helped her!  Afterwards, I licked out the bowl (daddy started it but shared with me)  I ended up making a mess of myself by sticking the bowl on my head.  Here’s some pictures:

I also LOVE to climb the stairs!! Every time I think mommy or daddy isn’t watching I head for the stairs and try to break down the baby gate.  Sometimes mommy and daddy will leave it open so that I can follow them up the stairs.  Mommy took some pictures of me and the kitty playing on the stairs.

This weekend we are going to to camping!!  No one is sick this time so we actually get to go!  After church tomorrow, we are going out to Grandma and Grandpa Stewart’s property to camp.  We are gonna roast hot dogs (turkey dog for me) and make s’mores over the fire!  Mommy and Daddy even bought strawberry and chocolate flavored marshmallows to try.  YUM YUM!  Mommy and Daddy finally got rid of the mean really fluffy kitty and they keep talking about getting me a kitten of my very own on monday!  I can’t wait!  Maybe this one wont run away from me!

I have been having trouble sleeping lately.  The last several days, I have woken at 1:30am every single night and am wide awake and I don’t want to go back to sleep.  I’m scared of my room and I could tell that because I was acting scared I was scaring mommy too.  She let me sleep in bed with her, when I finally get tired enough to fall asleep.  I love sleeping in bed cuddled up with mommy.  It’s the BEST!  Last night mommy suggested a prayer in my bedroom so that we could sleep better and I not be scared.  Daddy said the prayer and we all felt better.  I still woke up around 2:00am but it was out of habit and mommy still let me sleep in bed with her but she said that it was the last time.  I’ll show her!  I get whatever I want!

I am a total monkey! This morning I climbed onto our old microwave that I usually use as a small table to eat snacks on… Mommy took a picture.

She pulled me down several times but I would just climb right back up!  I love to climb on everything and be high up.  Mommy calls me a “monkey”.

I have made another step in my life to becoming a grown-up!  I have walked!  It wasn’t all by myself, but with my toy walker.  I usually would stand against it, and it would move, so i would sit back down.  This time I took it by control!  I pushed that thing then took a couple steps, then pushed it again.  It wasn’t going to make me fall down, I was determined!  My next step, to take a step without anything.  Maybe, I’ll wait a couple days for that one, or weeks, maybe months.

Today my Great-Grandma and Grandpa  Stott (my mommy’s mommy’s parents) came all the way from Montana to visit me!  I wasn’t sure about them at first, but warmed up quickly and did everything I could to keep their attention, thats why I walked, everyone (My grandparents, great-grandparents, aunts and mommy and daddy) was watching me so I decided to walk with my walker, and to dance to the music it played when i pushed it.  Grandma Stewart got some pictures of me and my great-grandma together, so maybe she will give those to mommy so she can put them on here.

Over the past weekend I spent most of my time with Grandma and Grandpa Mitchell.  Mommy went to the dentist and had some of her wisdom teeth pulled.  Then her cheeks swelled up and almost got as big as mine!  She was in a lot of pain, and it didn’t go away so on sunday she ended up missing church and Grandpa Mitchell and Daddy gave her a priesthood blessing.  The weather was good all weekend so i spent alot of time outside.  I have some pictures of Daddy sharing his otterpop with me.  It was tasty!  Yesterday we went to a park and I got to go on a swing and down some slides with daddy, then a long stroller ride where I took a good nap.  Mommy also went to the dentist again, she was saying something about starting to get “dry socket” which is where the bone where her tooth was extracted is starting to get infected so now she is taking all these pills and is still in alot of pain.  I hope she gets better! I miss playing with her.
