Growing up with Emily

Today we went shopping.  We went to walmart and bought mommy some clothes and me some more food and juice, and we checked out the star wars stuff.  Then we went out to the valley and on the way we saw a brush fire and news crews.  It was next to the freeway and sullivan.  We saw it on the news when we got home.  We went to toys’r'us and looked at all the star wars stuff.  We bought a artoo-potatoo (r2-d2 potato head) and some books and stickers and we got a free star wars backpack to go with it.  If I ever have a little brother, he is already all set for school with a star wars backpack and pencils and folders and notebooks and stuff.  Daddy seemed like a little boy himself!  After toys’r'us we went to old navy and bought mommy a new pair of jeans, then we went to mcdonalds and i got a happy meal!  Actually I got TWO!  The service was really bad and the food was worse.  They messed up our order and had to redo it all and we still didnt get even an apology.  The people in the back couldnt even speak english!  There were flies all over the place and no air conditioning either.  Burger King is alot better!  I didn’t mind the apple dippers though.  There were star wars toys in the happy meals too.  Now we have a major storm warning, lots of wind and hail.  It’s already really windy but no hail yet.  I guess we will see!

Right now (as mommy is typing this for me) I am running around with a dishrag over my face so i can’t see very well where i am going, and it is so funny i can’t stop giggling!  Oops I just crashed!

Mommy made a new page for this website, it has a scrapbook with my pictures all about me!  She will continue to add to it as she has time.  Right now its just the professional photos all scrapblogged up!

Mommy and I finally got sick from Daddy.  I have the worst sore throat!  It is miserable!  I hope I get better in time to go to Pocatello and Rexburg to visit family.  I could hardly sleep last night, I woke up after being asleep for about two hours feeling miserable so mommy brought me into bed with her.  I kept waking up every hour or so and cried because my throat hurt so much.  It helped to suck on my pacifier though.  I think mommy was trying to wean me off of it but she decided to wait till I get better.  Yesterday was a pretty miserable day for me too.  With all the walking and running I’m doing, I’m falling alot too.  I fell alot of times and got alot of bumps on my head.  Not only that, but when Daddy was giving me a bath, I stood up to let him know I was done and slipped and bit my tongue.  I had blood pouring out of my mouth and I was crying so hard I was choking on it.  Mommy and Daddy cleaned me up and comforted me though, and the bleeding stopped and I felt better.  I think it really scared Mommy and Daddy.  Anyways, I’m really excited to go on vacation!  I’m going to show everyone how well I am walking.  I have been practicing all week and getting really good at it!

Our neighbors house burst into flames. It was cool. We woke to sounds of sirens but daddy had just gotten home and he heard the explosion. We took video from our upstairs window, which is the only place anyone could see the flames without being in them basically. So we are lucky. Here is the video.

I AM 11 MONTHS TODAY!!!!!

Today we went to church, I got to wear my new disney princess shirt and skirt that I look so cute in.  At church I played with some strange people, this big dark colored man looked so cuddly that I climbed into his lap and gave him some hugs, he thought I was adorable.  I also played with this lady sitting several rows behind me.  I slept through the last half of church, waking up at the “amen” of the end of church.

It is so bright and sunshine today that we had a picnic on our front lawn.  It was so exciting!  So many new things to explore and experience, like the feeling of grass tickling my feet.  The sun shining down and filling me with warmth.  Getting dirty with the dirt!  It was great!  I looked adorable in my hat and sunglasses.  Mommy didn’t have her phone to take pictures though, but she will definitely take pictures next time!

Today mommy was doing my laundry.  I decided to help her.  She opened the dryer once the clothes were all done, and put a basket next to the dryer.  I then pulled all the clothes out of the dryer and put them in the basket.  Mommy taped me doing it, but she cant put the video on here because the camera doesnt have a way to connect to the computer.  Mommy was so proud of me for helping her.  I also smelled alot of the clothes just to make sure they all smelled fresh and clean.  I also enjoyed hearing my echo in the dryer.  It was soo cool! Like hearing more than one of me!

This morning I wreaked havoc on the entire house, starting with upstairs.  I woke up early this morning so mommy set me loose while waiting for daddy to come home from work.  I made sure she fell asleep, then I went straight for what I wasn’t supposed to.  I went into my bedroom and pulled half the books off the bookshelf.  Then I got a better idea, so I headed for the bathroom.  Mommy had blocked it off with some big baskets and stuff, but she left the door open so my kitty could get through.  I was smarter than that though, I moved the baskets out of the way, then pushed open the door.  I got under the sink where I found lots of yummy smelling lotions and stuff, but I couldn’t get anything open.  I ended up closing the door behind me though and got stuck in the bathroom!  I started pounding on things and screaming so mommy could hear me.  She came and pulled me out of the bathroom, yay for mommy!  I don’t know what I would’ve done without her there to let me out.  As a reward for saving me, I let mommy take me back to her bed and we cuddled for a while, I really just watched tv and played with the remote, till daddy got home.

This morning I woke up around 6:00am which is two hours earlier than my normal time to wake up.  Mommy didnt seem to mind too much, she changed my diaper than let me roam around upstairs while she stayed in bed and kinda watched me.  I went to my room and played, and I chased the kitty everywhere!  I’m getting really fast crawling around after her that i can almost catch her now.  After a little while I got really tired again, so I crawled back to mommy’s bed and laid down in front of it.  Mommy must have thought I was real cute (that was my plan) so she brought me up onto her bed and we snuggled.  I couldn’t get comfortable though, I was squirming so much!  mommy kept laughing at me!  Anyways, I eventually fell asleep and didn’t wake back up till 10:00am!  Daddy was home and asleep in bed with us when I woke up.  It was a nice surprise to see daddy!  Anyways, so right now is my naptime, and mommy is letting me stay up and play because i slept in instead! I should do it more often……….. nah!

Went to the Library today and picked up some books… i love emptying shelves so i kept trying to get down out of mommys and daddys hands to go clear a few shelves but they wouldnt let me.  They did pick me out a few books that we took home, and some movies too.  I also got to see Grandma Mitchell for a little bit.
